Are you struggling with getting your WordPress website launched? Do you want to get started quickly but don’t know where to start?
In this Elementor Cloud review, we’ll dive deep into this new offer from the team who brought us the world’s most popular WordPress page Builder: Elementor PRO.
What Is Elementor Cloud?
Elementor Cloud as the name implies allows you to launch your own WordPress-based website on Google’s blazing fast cloud platform.
No need to worry about complicated hosting setups and settings. No SSL configurations, it’s already included.
Elementor Cloud handles all of this stuff for you. And because you get access to the full Elementor PRO version (a $49 – $199 value), you can start designing and launching your website from day 1.
What’s included in this new Hosted environment
After checking out their newly launched website, here’s a summary of what you can expect from this new hosted environment.
WordPress Pre-Installed
The first thing that you see when you visit their site is the installation process. You simply click “Install” and follow the instructions. It takes less than 5 minutes to install and activate your account.
Once installed
- Built-in host from Google’s cloud platform (for fast-loading sites and distributed CPU loads)
- Around 20GB of store to host your website files and images
- Free SSL certificate from Cloudflare which allows for https:// on your domain
- You’ll get a free subdomain on elementor.cloud which you can use for other purposes.
- Get free backups for your Elementor account
- Automated backups every day (daily every 24 hours)
Where are the sites hosted?
For those who are concerned with GDPR, Elementor Cloud are hosted in Belgium and not in USA. Elementor Cloud does all the heavy lifting and maintenance of your servers.
With the CDN from Cloudflare, the caching will help with server loads. Depending on where your users are, the CDN (content-delivery network) will serve content from the closest geographically located host for faster loading and better user experience.

Elementor PRO Cloud Advantages
Fast and CDN enabled sites
Your content and website will load faster than other similar shared website host plans and you’re only paying for less than $10/month ($99/year).
More Value for your Purchase
If you purchase the PRO version of Elementor alone, it will already cost you around $49/year. But with Elementor Cloud, you’ll get 1 year of superior WordPress host + Full access to Elementor PRO.
Ability to quickly connect and launch your domain
Just connect your custom domain, make it as a primary website, and get started.
Perfect For Beginner and Advanced Web Creators
If you’ve never created a WordPress-based website before , Elementor Cloud will be perfect for you. With no technical knowledge required, you can create professional websites without any coding or programming skills. And because your server is already included, you don’t have to spend time fiddling with DNS, server configurations, SSL certificates and all the other technical stuff when it comes to launching a new website.
Full Site Theme Builder with Dynamic Content
Because it already includes Elementor PRO, you’ll get all the benefits of this plugin including the ability to build complex layouts using drag & drop elements. You can also add dynamic content like videos, galleries, forms, etc. to your website.
You’ll be able to create beautiful pages using the same drag & drop interface used by professionals.
Chat Support and Superior Customer Service
One of the reasons I’m migrating away from my current website host provider (Siteground) is that they’ve made it very hard to find customer support or start a chat with their customer reps.
Elementor Cloud hopefully continues great customer support as I’ve just experienced here. Chat was helpful as well as their knowledge based which provided some answers to my other questions.
No Hidden Pricing or Costs
This is a big one for me. I’ve been forced to upgrade to a higher hosting plan before because the bandwidth or CPU use limits on my account have been reached.
My site stopped working and obviously website visitors are not able to visit the site.
Hopefully, I won’t run into the same problem with Elementor Cloud.
Site Lock Feature For Viewing Your Website During Development
Want to put your site on maintenance mode? Then try the site lock feature that disables your site for viewing while doing any website development.
No hassle SSL certificate enabled
No more dealing with Free SSL certificates, forgetting to renew them and struggling to getting them installed on your site correctly. It’s already included in Elementor Cloud.
Daily Backups and Manual Backups
This is mandatory. Always have backups of your website that you can easily revert to. Elementor Cloud allows you to revert back anytime something wrong happens on your site (malware issues, htaccess errors, etc)
But Elementor Cloud is not all bells and whistles, here’s what I wish they would improve upon
What can be improved (Cons)
A couple of WordPress plugins are not working
Most of the plugins that are not compatible with Elementor Cloud are plugins that provides access to the backend (backups and FTP). That makes total sense because a managed hosting provider’s worst nightmare is when someone has maliciously hacked their system.
Here’s the full list of plugins that are not allowed on Elementor Cloud. It makes total sense that they are not allowed because some of the actions of these plugins can be harmful to Elementor Cloud’s servers and system.
- WP Clone
- WP Total Cache
- Site Origin Panels
- Site Origin Widgets Bundle
- Brizy
- Beaver Builder
- Beaver Builder Lite
- Visual Composer

One domain or website per Elementor Cloud Subscription
I confirmed this. You can only use one website per subscription. So if you have 2 or more sites, the costs for Elementor Cloud can significantly jump up dramatically.
No Email Host Services Included
Although I use Gsuite for most of my emails (yourownbrand@domain.com), some people are still using Webmail (the free electronic mail service) for sending branded messages.
Future of Elementor.com?
It does look like that Gutenberg is slowly becoming a viable page builder option. Time will only tell if it will indeed become the number 1 page builder for WordPress like Elementor.
Additionally, Elementor and other WordPress page builder would need to diversify their customer base so a move like launching Elementor Cloud helps solidify their customer base.

Page Speed Issues? Does Elementor Slow Down my Site?
I will conduct a thorough analysis of this, but my initial findings are that if you have an image heavy or video heavy website, whether it’s built on Elementor or Gutenberg, it slows down signficantly.
The solution is to always make sure that you do a site level as well as a page-level speed optimization on all your sites and pages.
Elementor Cloud vs Elementor PRO
The biggest difference between the two is that Elementor Cloud already has WordPress hosting so you won’t need to buy services from Siteground, WPEngine and others. Elementor PRO is just the WordPress page builder plugin.
Elementor Cloud Pricing
I love that Elementor Cloud has a transparent pricing, which makes it easier for me to understand what I’m paying for. The price tag is $99/year (plus tax) for each website that you want to connect.
What are the alternatives to WordPress hosts with Page Builders
There are lots of alternatives when it comes to just WordPress hosts or managed WP services like WPEngine, SiteGround, Cloudways, but no one can offer the same deal like Elementor Cloud because they don’t offer Elementor PRO license included.
So there are no direct competitor to the Elementor Cloud for now. Other page builders like Thrive Architect and Divi from Elegant themes might launch a similar service, but that’s something that we can only hope for the future.
